Rubik is a minor character that appears in Extinction Party. He is briefly seen while Ena traverses the Maze.

Appearance

Rubik's appearance seems to resemble a hollow dodecahedron with holes on each face, colored lime, orange, dark green, red, and dark yellow. His lower half consists of pink and purple veins connecting to a heptagon, this time faceted with cyan, purple, white, and pink colors - it also pulsates.

When Rubik talks to Ena, his octahedron-shaped head turns into a cube and shows his actual head, revealing a human-like face with tufts of hair sticking out.

Personality

Rubik is a stern loner. Upon interaction, he dismisses Ena for disturbing his privacy, telling her to "fly away", to which she complies.

Trivia

He has the shortest interaction out of all of the series’s minor characters, lasting only 10 seconds.

Cultural references and inspirations

His name originates from the Rubik's cube, as his head transforms into one when he reveals his face and talks to Ena. A pun is also made by Ena stating that Rubik's appearance is quite "puzzling", as the Rubik's cube is a type of combination puzzle.
